웹툰 산업 연매출 1조 원 찍었다... 1년 새 64.6% 껑충.
2020년 웹툰 산업 매출액 규모는 약 1조 538억 원으로 나타났다. 전년 6,400억 원 대비 64.6% 증가한 수치다. 2017년부터 본격적으로 실태조사를 시작한 이래, 처음으로 매출 규모 1조 원을 돌파했다. 조사에 따르면 1년 내내 연재한 웹툰 작가 연수입 평균 8121만 원, 30대 이하 작가 83.9%이었다.

In 2020, the sales of the webtoon industry were about 1.538 trillion won. This is a 64.6% increase from 640 billion won in the previous year. Since the survey began in earnest in 2017, the sales volume exceeded KRW 1 trillion for the first time. According to the survey, the average annual income of webtoon writers who published serially throughout the year was 8.21 million won and 83.9% of writers in their 30s or younger.
