인앱결제 강제 논란으로 갈등하던 네이버와 구글이 전방위적인 협력에 나서고 있다. 최근 구글과 네이버웹툰은 게임 제작을 위한 업무 협약을 맺었다. 중소 개발사 5곳을 선정해 인기 웹툰을 게임으로 개발할 계획이다. 그동안 웹툰 기반 게임들이 많이 나왔지만 구글에서 직접 지원에 나선 것은 처음이다.

Naver and Google, which had been in conflict over the controversy over forced in-app payment, are starting to cooperate in all directions. Recently, Google and Naver Webtoon signed a business agreement for game production. We plan to select 5 small and medium-sized developers to develop popular webtoons as games. There have been many webtoon-based games out there, but this is the first time that Google has directly applied for support.
