Aides fail to coordinate agenda for Yoon-Lee meeting

Aides to President Yoon Suk Yeol and opposition leader Lee Jae-myung had their second meeting to plan for the first-ever meeting between the two leaders, but they couldn't come to an agreement, according to both parties. Yoon had suggested the meeting in a phone call after his party's electoral loss. The preparatory talks aimed to coordinate the agenda for the potential meeting, but the first two meetings yielded no results. Yoon's team proposed a free-form meeting without the need for agenda coordination, emphasizing freedom for diverse discussions. Meanwhile, Lee's team stressed the need for concrete outcomes and expressed disappointment that the presidential office did not make any suggestions in that regard. The Democratic Party plans to internally discuss the outcome and convey its position to the presidential office for scheduling a third meeting.
