Proposed Bill: Amendment to the Special Act on Promotion and Support for Saemangeum Project aims to facilitate the development of the Saemangeum Project by exempting it from preliminary feasibility surveys, which have caused delays in business promotion. Rep. Lee Won-taeg of the Democratic Party of Korea proposed this amendment as a means to expedite the project's progress. Proposed Bill: Amendment to the Telecommunications Business Act, put forward by Rep. Lee In-seon of the People Power Party, seeks to prevent app market business entities from creating exclusive app ecosystems that restrict the installation and use of mobile content through other app markets or routes. The amendment aims to impose effective regulations to address this issue and ensure fair competition within the app market. Pending Bill: Amendment to the Depositor Protection Act, proposed by Rep. Yun Chang-hyun of the People Power Party, aims to extend the period for maintaining the stability of the Deposit Insurance Fund until December 31, 2027. This extension is crucial as it aligns with the expected end of the repayment of past restructuring costs from financial crises, such as the Asian financial crisis and the savings bank crisis.
