CJ Logistics to build cold chain logistics center in central US


CJ Logistics, the largest logistics company in South Korea, has announced its plans to establish a cold chain logistics center in the United States, aiming to expand its presence in the North American market. The new facility, located in New Century, Kansas, will be specifically designed for the storage and transportation of cold storage products and frozen goods, taking advantage of its proximity to a major railway. With a total area of 27,034 square meters, the center is expected to commence operations in the third quarter of next year and will have the capability to reach approximately 85 percent of the US within two days. Initially, the company will focus on handling products from Upfield, a global food company, and subsequently extend its cold chain logistics services to other clients. Additionally, CJ Logistics is also planning to open another cold chain logistics center in Georgia later this year, covering an area of 25,000 square meters.
