DMK Global CEO Park Se-jeong, Unboundlab CEO Cho Yong-min, Sungshin Women's University adjunct professor Lee Si-han, and Park Ki-young, head of Creative Shop North East Asia at Meta, participated in a panel discussion at the Digital Marketing Conference 2024, which took place at Coex in Seoul on Tuesday. The event also featured a speech by Vishal Kumar, an executive at Coupang, who emphasized the significant impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the marketing sector in the coming years. The conference, an annual gathering for marketers and industry experts, focused on sharing the latest tactics, trends, technologies, and insights within the field of digital marketing. The role of AI in marketing has been steadily increasing, with experts highlighting its potential to revolutionize the industry. AI's ability to automate user segmentation and generate personalized content for customers has been particularly emphasized. However, the use of AI in marketing also raises concerns about the changing role of marketers and the need for them to adapt to the evolving landscape. Experts advised that marketers should focus on strategy, building brand value, and delivering unique customer experiences, cautioning against excessive reliance on AI. The conference also addressed emerging trends in the marketing industry, such as the growing influence of Generation Alpha and the increasing importance of video marketing and digitized customer experiences.
