Doosan Robotics sets up Europe headquarters in Germany

Doosan Robotics has announced the establishment of its European branch, Doosan Robotics Europe, in Dusseldorf, Germany, with the goal of expanding its sales channels and better meeting local demand. The new branch will work closely with system integrators and dealers in key European markets such as Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Italy to promote and sell automation solutions that are in high demand in Europe. These solutions include palletizing, machine tending, and welding, all of which aim to streamline logistics and warehouse operations, enhance manufacturing processes, and improve quality and consistency in metal fabrication. In addition to the new branch in Germany, Doosan Robotics is also establishing a service center in Heerhugowaard, Netherlands, to provide comprehensive after-sales services, including the installation and retrieval of collaborative robots, and part replacements. The company is preparing to launch the P-series, a new line of cobots for palletizing tasks in logistics, in the second half of the year, with a focus on marketing and sales efforts in North America and Europe, where there is a high demand for advanced collaborative robots. Doosan Robotics aims to expand its sales network to over 100 channels by the end of the year, customize solutions to meet local customer needs, and establish a robust service infrastructure for customers. Despite reporting a first-quarter operating loss, the company experienced a 3.1 percent increase in sales, driven by growing cobot demand. At the recent Automate 2024 exhibition in Chicago, Doosan Robotics introduced the P Series of palletizing cobots, featuring the industry's highest payload capacity of 30 kilograms and a working radius of 2,030 millimeters, allowing it to handle heavier loads and reach further than other robots in its class.
