[Herald Review] Doyoung of NCT portrays youth in his first standalone concert

Doyoung wrapped up his three-day solo concert at Kyung Hee University's Grand Peace Palace with a mesmerizing performance on Monday. He captivated the audience of around 3,500 with his mellow voice and a setlist of 23 songs, which included tracks from his first solo album, original soundtracks, and duet songs. Doyoung also showcased his versatility by covering a legendary Korean ballad singer's song and performing acoustic versions of NCT's singles. The concert culminated with Doyoung playing the piano and debuting a self-written unreleased song, "Dear," as a closing remark. During the concert, Doyoung emphasized the theme of youth and shared his desire to evoke various emotions in the audience. He wanted the concert to be a memorable experience for everyone, hoping that at least one stage would leave a lasting impact on the audience's youth. With a small and simple stage setup, accompanied by a five-piece live band, the focus remained solely on Doyoung's heartfelt performance, creating an unforgettable night for the fans. Doyoung's first-ever standalone concert not only marked the beginning of his solo Asia tour but also provided a platform for him to connect with his fans in a more intimate setting and showcase his musical talents beyond his role in NCT.
