‘Malice should not undermine the system, social order,’ says Hybe's Bang

In a recent court filing, Hybe Chairman Bang Si-hyuk publicly addressed the ongoing dispute involving Ador CEO Min Hee-jin's alleged breach of trust for the first time. The Seoul Central District Court held a hearing on Min's request for a preliminary injunction against Hybe, aiming to prevent the parent company from exercising its voting rights in favor of her dismissal at an upcoming shareholders' meeting. Hybe's legal representative, an attorney from the Kim & Chang Law Firm, emphasized the importance of continuous creativity in the K-pop industry and expressed understanding of concerns regarding Min's actions. They also conveyed apologies for the distress caused by the situation and hoped for a wise decision from the court. The attorney further highlighted the significance of preventing individual misconduct from undermining social institutions and order, while expressing regret for the impact on the community. The court is expected to reach a decision on the preliminary injunction before the end of the month.
