NewJeans, in collaboration with American pop star Pharrell Williams, is set to release their first-ever Japanese single album. Williams played a crucial role in composing and writing the lyrics for the K-pop girl group's lead track, "Supernatural," which is noted for its nostalgic melody and mellow vocals. The song incorporates elements from Williams' 2009 hit, "Back of My Mind," reinterpreted in a new jack swing style by producer 250. The album also features the track "Right Now," which is being used as the commercial song for Lotte Wellfood's zero-sugar dessert brand, Zero. NewJeans has been generating excitement for their Japanese debut by teaming up with Japanese pop artist Murakami Takashi and streetwear icon Hiroshi Fujiwara. Murakami designed the physical album and cartoon characters for the group's music video, while Fujiwara created T-shirts, bandanas, caps, and bags as exclusive merchandise. Following their debut, NewJeans will hold a two-day fan concert at the Tokyo Dome on June 26-27.
