S. Korean biz leaders to meet with UAE president

South Korean business leaders, including Samsung Electronics Co. Chairman Lee Jae-yong, are set to convene with the President of the United Arab Emirates in Seoul to explore collaboration in diverse economic and technological fields. The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, will see prominent figures such as Euisun Chung of Hyundai Motor Group, Chey Tae-won of SK Group, Hanwha Group Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan, HD Hyundai Vice Chairman Chung Ki-sun, and GS Group Chairman Huh Tae-soo in attendance. Discussions during the meeting are anticipated to center on strategies for advancing business cooperation between South Korea and the UAE, particularly in areas like advanced technology, defense, and energy. This gathering forms part of President Mohammed's two-day visit to Seoul, reciprocating Yoon's previous trip to the UAE last year. Notably, this marks the first state visit to South Korea by a UAE president. During their previous meeting in the UAE, the two leaders had affirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration in sectors such as nuclear power, defense, and energy.
