Samsung Biologics to attend 2024 BIO International Convention next week


Samsung Biologics, a leading global contract manufacturing organization, has announced its participation in the 2024 BIO International Convention, the biopharmaceutical industry's premier annual event. The convention, themed "Time for Science to Shine," will take place in San Diego from June 3-6 and is expected to draw 1,500 companies from around the world. Samsung Biologics, a regular participant for the past 12 years, will showcase its latest production capabilities at a 139-square-meter exhibition booth and engage in meetings with partners. The company is on track to increase its biomanufacturing capacity to 784,000 liters by April 2025, with the completion of Plant 5, which will have a production capacity of 180,000 liters. Samsung Biologics aims to achieve a combined biomanufacturing capacity of 1.32 million liters by 2032 and will also highlight its contract development organization services and investments in new modalities such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) during the event. Additionally, the company plans to leverage the convention to enhance its brand visibility by displaying over 140 light pole banners on Harbor Drive, the main road connecting San Diego International Airport and the convention center.
