2024 Dream Concert to be held in October in Goyang

The 2024 Dream Concert, organized by the Korean Entertainment Producer's Association, is scheduled to take place on October 19 at Goyang Stadium in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. As the longest-running K-pop concert, it has been held annually since 1995 and has drawn a total of 1.98 million concertgoers over nearly 30 years. This year's event is being co-hosted by the Korean Entertainment Producer's Association, the Korea Tourism Organization, and Goyang city. The concert has featured 622 K-pop acts, ranging from first-generation groups like H.O.T, S.E.S., and god to contemporary sensations like BTS. Im Baek-woon, president of the Korea Entertainment Producer's Association, emphasized the concert's significance as a cultural symbol that reflects the history and global impact of K-pop. During the upcoming event, a "dream rookie" of the year will be announced through voting, which will be conducted via the K-pop Seoul app from Monday to September 26. While the lineup of performers for the 2024 Dream Concert has not yet been revealed, the event promises to continue its tradition of showcasing the best of K-pop and celebrating its evolution from the 1990s to the present day as a globally influential cultural phenomenon.
