Ador, Krafton vow to address sexual harassment involving NewJeans

Music label Ador and video game publisher Krafton have announced their intention to take action against the misuse of collaborative content featuring NewJeans in the game "PUBG: Battlegrounds." They expressed their disappointment with certain users who shared inappropriate posts using the NewJeans characters, which contradicted their brand values and offended fans. The companies acknowledged the controversy surrounding the collaborative content, where some users dressed the characters in revealing outfits, leading to allegations of harassment. They emphasized their commitment to addressing the issue by restricting community activities for those involved and removing inappropriate posts. Furthermore, Ador and Krafton clarified that the collaboration aimed to provide fans with new and exciting content by leveraging each entity's strengths. They assured that the outfits were designed to adhere to the game's 15-plus rating and would not exceed what is typically seen in idol stage costumes. However, the companies admitted that they did not fully anticipate the potential misuse of the in-game content and have pledged to enhance oversight in their future endeavors to uphold artist protection and cultivate a positive community culture.
