The Korean band Surl recently released a Thai version of their song "Dry Flower" in collaboration with a dubbing company, Iyuno. The song is the title track from Surl's 2nd mini album "I Know," which was released in 2019 and has gained popularity both domestically and internationally. The Thai version was created using STS technology to achieve a natural language conversion, with vocalist Seol Ho-seung's voice perfectly recreated in the Thai version. MPMG Music, the band's agency, expressed their intention to translate and release more songs in various languages in the future, aiming to approach different cultures and languages. Surl, a four-member band formed in 2018, has achieved significant success, including selling out their first solo concert in Korea in just one minute and touring various cities in the US, Europe, and Asia. They also gained recognition by finishing as runners-up on Mnet's 2022 competition program "Great Seoul Invasion." MPMG Music hopes that Surl's musical innovation and technological challenges will positively influence other Korean bands aiming for globalization.
