Fila Holdings releases 5th sustainability report

Fila Holdings, a South Korean sportswear brand, recently published its annual sustainability report titled "Your Fila Impact -- Fila Integrated Report 2023," showcasing the company's ongoing dedication to sustainability management. This marks the fifth edition of the report since Fila set its sustainability goal, "Your Fila Impact 2025," in 2019, and introduced the sustainability theme "Change the game: From deuce to victory" last year. In 2023, Fila made significant strides in its commitment to sustainable products, notably by repurposing discarded shoe samples into shoe display tools like risers, highlighting its focus on innovation and sustainability. Furthermore, Fila introduced its sustainability initiative, "Fila Re: Deuce," incorporating the sports term "deuce" as a homonym for "reduce." The company plans to designate products made with certified sustainable materials as Fila Re: Deuce products and disclose the reasons for their certification in the future. To strengthen its social impact, Fila expanded its sustainability management organization by establishing a dedicated sustainability team and a supply chain sustainability compliance team, which conducted third-party audits of partners and revised the selection criteria for key suppliers based on various factors such as compliance levels and partnerships. Additionally, Fila bolstered its shareholder return policy by increasing the annual dividend payout ratio, implementing special dividends for two consecutive years, and deciding to cancel and acquire treasury stocks. A Fila Holdings official emphasized the company's commitment to integrating sustainability across all aspects of its business, driving significant change and continuously providing stakeholders with the values of sports and beauty through various policies and actions.
