Former Big Bang's T.O.P won't be going to the moon

K-pop star T.O.P, a member of the popular group Big Bang, will no longer be participating in the "dearMoon" mission, the world's first civilian moon mission, after its cancellation. The mission, organized by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and scheduled to launch in 2023 on a rocket developed by Elon Musk's SpaceX, aimed to take a group of artists and creators on a circum-lunar flight. Expressing his gratitude for the "dearMoon" project, T.O.P acknowledged the impact of the experience on his life and music, hinting at an upcoming solo comeback with new songs inspired by his connection to the moon and space. Despite the cancellation of the mission, T.O.P remains active in the entertainment industry, having departed from his group's agency and secured a role in the anticipated Netflix series "Squid Game 2."
