Hanjin to extend logsitics network in Europe

Hanjin Logistics Corp., a subsidiary of Hanjin Group, announced its plans to expand its logistics operations in Europe by launching two new locations in Hungary and Morocco this year. The decision to expand was made after company executives assessed the market potential during visits to Germany, the Czech Republic, and Norway. Currently, the company operates 37 logistics hubs in 18 countries and aims to increase this to 42 locations in 22 countries by the end of the year. Since establishing its European head office in Prague in 2013, Hanjin Logistics has expanded its network to include locations in Vienna, Frankfurt, Wroclaw, and Oslo. With the addition of Hungary and Morocco, the company's European logistics network is expected to grow to 12 locations by 2027. In addition to expanding its presence in e-commerce shipping services, the company also plans to enhance its road feeder service operations to target non-European airlines and secure cargo volumes from Korean and global businesses operating in Europe. A company official emphasized that Hanjin Logistics has been continuously strengthening its global logistics capabilities since entering the European market in 2013 and is committed to further enhancing its competitiveness in Europe leveraging its nearly 80 years of active logistics operations worldwide.
