Hyundai Motor to seek breakthrough in Japan with Casper Electric

Hyundai Motor Group is set to introduce the Casper Electric, their latest all-electric small vehicle, at the Busan International Mobility Show. The company aims to make a significant impact on the Japanese market, which has historically been challenging for Korean automakers to penetrate. Despite previous setbacks in Japan, Hyundai has announced its return and shift in focus to the EV market, as the country's electric vehicle sector has yet to gain significant traction. Recognizing the preference for mini vehicles among Japanese drivers, Hyundai is targeting this market with the Casper Electric, which is expected to be well-received due to its extended driving range and design tailored to Japanese preferences. With a maximum driving distance of 315 kilometers per charge, Hyundai believes the Casper Electric has the potential to lead the popularization of EVs in Japan, as it occupies a new segment for electric vehicles. The official unveiling of the Casper Electric's full specifications will take place at the upcoming Busan International Mobility Show.
