Is 2NE1 returning with new song for 15th anniversary?

K-pop girl group 2NE1, known for their legendary status, recently met with Yang Hyun-suk, the founder of YG Entertainment, sparking speculation about a potential comeback to mark their 15th debut anniversary. The meeting, which took place at YG Entertainment's headquarters in Seoul, involved all four members of 2NE1 - CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy - and marked their first discussion with Yang in eight years. YG Entertainment revealed that the meeting lasted over two hours and included meaningful conversations, hinting at the possibility of a new project for the group. 2NE1, who debuted under YG Entertainment in 2009 and disbanded in 2016, surprised fans in April 2022 with a full unit performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival after seven years. While a potential comeback is on the horizon, YG Entertainment emphasized that no specific decisions were made during the meeting, but they expressed hope for a positive announcement soon, as Yang holds a special affection for 2NE1 and the group visited with a request, although the nature of the request was not disclosed.
