Kang Sue-jin's ballet meets public procurement in PPS' new promotional video

South Korea's government procurement agency has introduced a compelling promotional video called "K-Public Procurement, The Next Stage," featuring renowned ballerina Kang Sue-jin. The video, which can be found on the Public Procurement Service's official YouTube channel, utilizes the artistry of the Korean National Ballet to draw a comparison between the gracefulness of ballet and the seamless integration of public procurement processes. Emphasizing trust, balance, harmony, and growth, the video conveys these principles through the synchronized movements of the dancers, symbolizing the agency's commitment to transparent procurement processes, efficiency, innovation, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and international expansion. This unique project involved the participation of Kang, the art director and CEO of the Korean National Ballet, as well as acclaimed soloists Byun Seong-wan and Cho Yeon-jae. Byun, a Grasse Award winner from the 25th Grasse International Ballet Competition in France, and Cho, recipient of the 2022 Prima Ballerina Award from the Korea Ballet Association, contributed their talents pro bono. Soloist Cho expressed the significance of portraying ballet's harmony and balance within the context of public procurement and encouraged greater interest and support for both ballet and public procurement. Director Kang shared her hope that Korean companies would harness public procurement to elevate themselves into global leaders and contribute to the nation's economic growth, akin to young ballet dancers reaching the world stage after years of dedication.
