KGC taps into Malaysia's top health store chains

Korea Ginseng Corp., the top ginseng product manufacturer in South Korea, has revealed its intention to expand its presence in Southeast Asia by introducing its flagship health functional food products to Guardian and Watsons, the leading health and beauty stores in Malaysia. This move comes in response to the growing health awareness in Malaysia, which has resulted in a significant increase in the health-functional food market from 1.5 trillion won in 2018 to an estimated 2.4 trillion won in 2024. The company has already begun introducing its flagship products to Guardian, which operates 600 outlets across Malaysia, and will start introducing its products to Watsons, which runs 700 outlets, in July. In addition to these efforts, KGC recently held a promotional event at Suria KLCC, a prominent shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, to raise brand awareness among local consumers. The company has also been expanding its presence in other Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore and Vietnam, with plans to engage with various local distribution channels in Malaysia to further promote its leading health functional food brand, JungKwanJang.
