Kolmar Korea unveils AI-powered hair loss tool

Kolmar Korea, a cosmetics original design manufacturer, announced the development of an artificial intelligence-based solution for diagnosing hair loss using scalp biomarkers. This innovative solution can identify 16 types of androgenic hair loss, including nine male and seven female types, by analyzing biomarkers on the scalp's surface. By utilizing this technology, dermatologists can accurately determine the type of hair loss by examining scalp samples with the assistance of AI-powered analysis equipment. The company aims to assist patients and dermatologists in selecting optimized treatments by offering a hair loss diagnostic tool and developing cosmetics tailored to the 16 different types of androgenic hair loss. Kolmar Korea is also focusing on research and development efforts to create new hair loss products using natural ingredients and microbiomes. Additionally, the company has made significant strides in showcasing the effectiveness of Sophora flavescens extract in preventing hair loss and has developed "biome-scented" ingredients to combat hair loss-causing bacteria and promote a healthy scalp ecosystem. With the global market for hair loss treatment products projected to reach $21.1 billion by 2025, Kolmar Korea is committed to accelerating the research and development of premium hair loss cosmetics to meet the increasing demand in the market.
