Nongshim to build W229b logistics center on robust overseas sales

Nongshim, the leading South Korean ramyeon manufacturer, has announced plans to invest $166 million in constructing a new logistics center in Ulsan, South Gyeongsang Province. This investment is being driven by the company's significant growth in overseas sales, with a particular focus on enhancing its distribution network and streamlining connections between suppliers and production plants. The company is also considering the construction of a new ramyeon production plant dedicated to export products, with potential locations being discussed in Busan. Nongshim's overseas sales have seen a substantial increase, accounting for 37 percent of total sales in 2023, and this growth has prompted discussions about constructing an additional domestic production plant focused on exporting to Japan and Southeast Asian countries. Currently, Nongshim operates overseas subsidiaries in six countries, including the US, Canada, China, Vietnam, Japan, and Australia, with production plants in the US and China.
