The dialogue, which occurred in The Hague, was led by Kim Jin-dong and Yvette van Eechoud, following an agreement between the two countries to establish a mechanism for discussing economic security-related issues during President Yoon Suk Yeol's state visit to the Netherlands in December last year. The discussions primarily revolved around strategies for effectively managing supply chain disruptions, with a particular emphasis on enhancing cooperation in areas such as semiconductors, research and development in core and new technologies, and fostering people-to-people exchanges. Additionally, both parties agreed to expand collaboration in sharing information related to export controls and investment screening processes.
