Stray Kids win award at short film festival

Stray Kids' self-produced "SKZFLIX" earned them the esteemed Global Spotlight Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2024 in Japan, a renowned international short film festival officially recognized by the Academy Awards. Despite being unable to attend the ceremony in person, the group shared their gratitude through a video acceptance speech, with member Felix expressing the meaningfulness of the award and their hope to share the story of "SKZFLIX" with a wider audience. Director Kim Byeong-june also conveyed his appreciation, highlighting the project's origin as a student idea and its evolution into a shining work, further enhanced by the interest in Stray Kids and K-pop. "SKZFLIX" is a music drama depicting the journey of a film club as they navigate through challenges to create a film, featuring the eight Stray Kids members. The group has been making waves across various domains, including the release of a collaborative digital single with Charlie Puth, their historic attendance at the Met Gala as the first K-pop group, and being recognized as best dressed by major outlets. Additionally, Stray Kids are set to perform at three prominent music festivals this summer: I-Days in Milan, BST Hyde Park in London, and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
