[Today’s K-pop] aespa expands world tour


SM Entertainment announced that aespa's international tour "Synk: Parallel Line" has added five concert dates after the initial tickets sold out. The tour will now consist of 16 concerts, beginning with live performances in Seoul on June 29-30, followed by visits to Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Jakarta, and Sydney in the coming months. The group's first studio album "Armageddon" received widespread success, topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 25 regions and selling over 1.15 million copies in the first week. Additionally, aespa is set to debut in Japan with the single "Hot Mess" on July 3. Furthermore, Taemin of SHINee will hold a solo fan meet in Seoul on July 13-14, marking his first interaction with his solo fandom community "TAEMate." Taemin, a veteran idol who debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008, has achieved notable success as a soloist, with his latest solo album "Guilty" topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 39 regions. The best-of album from Seventeen, titled "17 Is Right Here," has now spent its fourth consecutive week on the Billboard 200, and Junghan and Wonwoo are set to release the single "This Man" on June 17. Meanwhile, Ateez collaborated with EDM artist Don Diablo for a remix of their song "Work Pt. 2," adding to the excitement surrounding the release of their latest EP "Golden Hour: Pt. 1."
