[Today’s K-pop] Le Sserafim gearing up for August return: report

K-pop group Le Sserafim is gearing up for a comeback in late August with a new album, according to reports from local media. Source Music, the group's agency, has confirmed the preparations for their return but has not yet finalized the release date or format. Their previous EP "Easy" achieved significant success, entering the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 99 and debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, making it their third consecutive million-selling album. Additionally, the album ranked No. 10 on Oricon's 2024 semiannual album ranking. Meanwhile, the group members have departed for Japan to meet their fans in Kobe. Chuu, another artist, is set to embark on a tour in the Americas from July 17 to Aug. 13, visiting 12 cities including Los Angeles, New York, Santiago, Sao Paulo, and Mexico City. This tour, named after her second solo EP "Strawberry Rush," marks her return to the US after seven months and her first performance in Latin America. The EP follows her previous release "Howl" and has already achieved success, topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 15 regions. In addition, BoA is preparing to celebrate her 24th debut anniversary with a concert in Seoul on Oct. 12-13, marking her first standalone concert in over 1 1/2 years. Meanwhile, members of 2PM are thriving as individuals, with Wooyoung preparing for his first solo fan meeting, Ok Taecyeon taking on a role in a Netflix Japan series, and Jun. K kicking off his solo tour in Yokohama, Japan.
