[Today’s K-pop] NCT127 to mark debut anniversary with fan meeting

NCT127 is set to hold a fan meetup in Seoul on August 3-4 to commemorate their eighth debut anniversary, as announced by their label, SM Entertainment. The event will be both in-person and broadcast online for fans unable to attend. The nine-member subunit will greet fans at the event, named "8ecret Invitation," with the exception of Taeyong, who is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service. Additionally, the band is preparing to release their sixth full album later this year, while Jaehyun is gearing up for his first solo album. Ateez's tenth EP, "Golden Hour: Part 1," has achieved significant success, reaching the top of Oricon's weekly combined album ranking and staying at the top of the daily album ranking for three days. The mini album has also made waves internationally, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and at No. 4 on the UK's Official Albums Chart Top 100. Ateez will embark on a tour of North America next month and will meet their fans in Japan in August after their performance at Summer Sonic 2024. Moonbyul of Mamamoo is extending her first solo international tour to Macau on August 3, following her tour across seven cities in Asia. Moonbyul previously released her first solo studio album, "Starlit of Muse," in February, which achieved remarkable success by topping the iTunes Top Albums chart in 10 regions. She has also hinted at plans to continue visiting fans abroad this summer. Finally, Jungkook of BTS has made waves with his solo single "Never Let Go," which topped YouTube's worldwide trending music video chart. The English-language song has been well-received, topping iTunes' Top Songs chart in 102 regions and entering Spotify's daily top songs global chart at No. 14. The release of the digital single has also contributed to the success of his other solo songs on Spotify's chart.
