On June 17, Riize, a six-piece band under SM Entertainment, will introduce their first EP, "Riizing," in Seoul at a premiere showcase. During the event, they will perform "Boom Boom Bass," the main track from their eight-track album, for the first time. This pop dance tune, predominantly featuring the bass guitar, follows the theme of musical instruments present in their previous singles. In addition to their album release, the band is currently on a fan concert tour and will conclude it in Seoul in September to celebrate their first anniversary. They will also be releasing a digital single, "Lucky," in Japan next month and touring nine cities in the country before their anniversary. Illit, managed by Belift Lab, achieved 100 million streams in Japan with their debut EP, "Super Real Me," in record time, as reported by the Oricon chart. Their lead track, "Magnetic," reached this milestone in the shortest period for a girl group in Japan. The group also broke records in the US and UK, with "Magnetic" entering the Hot 100 at No. 91 and the album debuting at No. 93 on the Billboard 200. In the UK, the lead single made it to No. 80 on the Official singles top 100. Meanwhile, Stray Kids, under JYP Entertainment, received a gold certification in France for their eighth EP, "Rock Star," with over 50,000 units sold. This marked their second album to achieve this certification, following their third studio album, "Five-Star." The EP also performed well on the Billboard 200 and had a new album set for release the following month. Finally, Weeekly, managed by IST Entertainment, will be releasing their sixth EP on July 9, marking their return after an eight-month hiatus since their previous mini album, "ColoRise." This comes after the group reorganized into a six-member act and released a digital single, "Stranger," containing both Korean and English-language versions. They also recently engaged with their fans in Japan for the first time since their debut in 2020.
