XG expands first world tour to the US, Europe

Japanese K-pop girl group XG, comprised of seven members, is embarking on their inaugural world tour, expanding their reach to the US and Europe. The tour kicks off with a concert in Las Vegas on Oct. 4, followed by visits to seven other cities in the US, before crossing the Atlantic to perform in Manchester, England, on Nov. 18, along with shows in five more European cities. Despite being a Japanese group under the label XGALX, XG underwent K-pop training in Korea for approximately five years, positioning themselves as a global K-pop group and gaining significant popularity worldwide. XG's success has been evident with their song "Left Right" from the third single album "Shooting Star," released in January 2023, achieving a notable feat by ranking on MediaBase's Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart for 13 consecutive weeks, making them the first Asian girl group to accomplish this. Furthermore, their latest single "Woke Up," released on May 21, secured the No. 15 spot on Spotify's Viral 50, while its music video became the top trending video in the US on YouTube.
