Ador’s Min denies ignoring sexual harassment at agency

Ador CEO Min Hee-jin recently took a proactive approach to address allegations of mishandling a sexual harassment claim within the company. She publicly shared a series of KakaoTalk conversations on her Instagram account, involving a male executive, a female employee, an advertiser, and herself. These conversations revealed the female employee's claim of sexual harassment by the male executive during a dinner meeting with an advertiser, leading to her resignation from Ador after reporting the incident. In the messages, Min urged the female employee to reconsider her resignation after an internal investigation found no evidence of sexual harassment. She also advised the employee to communicate directly with the male executive and offered to accompany her to the meeting. Additionally, Min criticized the male executive for his lack of recollection regarding the incident and expressed regret over the situation's impact on her and Hybe's relationship. The disclosure of these messages came in response to a report by local media outlet Dispatch, which alleged Min's negligence in handling the sexual harassment claim. Furthermore, Min has filed a lawsuit against several Hybe executives for obstruction of business, illegal monitoring of electronic records, and defamation, while Hybe's CEO was replaced amid the ongoing dispute with Ador. These actions by Min Hee-jin demonstrate her efforts to address the allegations and provide transparency regarding the situation. The public disclosure of the KakaoTalk messages and the legal actions taken against Hybe and Dispatch indicate her determination to confront the issue and defend her position in the ongoing dispute.
