Former Japanese K-pop idol apologizes for working at cabaret

Haru, a former member of the K-pop girl group Nature, issued an apology to her fans for causing concern after it was revealed that she was working as a host at a cabaret in Japan. In a handwritten letter shared on her social media, Haru expressed conflicting emotions, acknowledging the disappointment her actions may have caused for Nature's fan club, known as Leaf. She reflected on her time in Korea, stating that despite the challenges, her six-year journey as an idol was a valuable and transformative experience. Haru sincerely apologized to her fans for the worry and letdown her actions may have caused, expressing regret and assuring them that their love and support will always hold a special place in her heart. In April, a video posted by a Japanese "hostess club" introduced a female host who revealed herself as Sakura Ruru, disclosing that she had been a K-pop idol for six years and was now raising funds to establish a dance studio. The video, which included a picture of Haru, surprised many fans. Following this, Haru confirmed on her social media that she was indeed working at the club, emphasizing her dedication to pursuing her personal goals and expressing hope for warm support from her fans. Nature, which debuted in 2018, ceased activities after the release of its third mini-album in November 2022, ultimately disbanding after the controversy surrounding Haru came to light in April.
