During their inaugural Japan fan meeting event "Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome" in Tokyo, Japan on June 26 and 27, NewJeans, the popular girl band under Hybe's Ador, performed. CEO Min Hee-jin of Ador expressed concerns during a press conference on April 25 about the alleged mistreatment of NewJeans by Hybe Chairman Bang Si-hyuk. Parents of the band members also claimed that Bang had consistently ignored the band at the company's headquarters in Seoul, even before the controversy arose. Hybe refuted these claims, attributing Bang's behavior to face blindness disorder, but the parents argued that even with such a condition, basic greetings should still be acknowledged. Despite this, Bang's attitude towards NewJeans seems unchanged, as he did not attend their significant fan meeting event in Tokyo and made no public acknowledgment of their achievement. In contrast, Bang has been seen actively engaging with other artists under Hybe, such as BTS and Enhypen, and has shown support for other K-pop events and artists on social media. Additionally, members of another Hybe-managed girl band, Le Sserafim, have spoken about personal interactions with Bang, including a visit to his luxury mansion in Los Angeles. This highlights a stark difference in Bang's treatment and involvement with NewJeans compared to other artists under Hybe. Despite Bang's explanation that he does not want to put pressure on artists and maintains a policy of non-interference, his actions suggest a disparity in his treatment of different groups within the company.
