Korean builders association explores new opportunities in Vientnam

A delegation from the Korea Housing Builders Association, led by Chairman Jung Won-ju, met with Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang in Hanoi, Vietnam. The association announced that the purpose of the visit is to explore new opportunities in Vietnam, where various development projects are underway to bolster the vibrant economy. The 13-member delegation, including Chairman Jung Won-ju, departed for the seven-day trip on Saturday and plans to engage with government and business leaders in Vietnam. During the visit, the delegation discussed the construction of large-scale quality housing in Vietnam, including rental housing for low-income workers. In addition to meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, the delegation also held discussions with officials from the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and established relations with the bank. They also met with the chairman of Taseco Group, a collaborator with Daewoo E&C on various projects in Vietnam. The itinerary included visits to local sites in Vietnam, such as Hanoi's Starlake City, as the association aims to explore new opportunities in overseas markets beyond the saturated domestic market. The delegation will return to Korea after concluding their meetings with local developers, including Sun Group and Sunset Town, on Thursday.
