[Today’s K-pop] Ateez to drop 4th single in Japan


KQ Entertainment announced that Ateez will release their fourth single in Japan, titled "Birthday," on October 2. The single will feature six tracks, including the lead track of the same name. A fan meeting is also in the works, scheduled for next month in Tokyo and Osaka. Additionally, the band's EP "Golden Hour: Part 1" has achieved success, ranking at No. 67 on the Billboard 200, with "Supernova" reaching over 100 million plays on Spotify. Meanwhile, aespa's first studio album, "Armageddon," made its debut at No. 25 on the Billboard 200, marking the group's fifth consecutive album to enter the top 40 on the main albums chart. The group also recently performed live in three arenas in Japan and is set to continue their tour in Singapore. Belift Lab revealed that Enhypen's second studio album, "Romance: Untold," achieved remarkable success by selling over two million copies in just five days, making it the band's first album to reach the "double million" mark in the first week of sales. The album topped Oricon's daily album ranking and the main track, "XO·Only If You Say Yes," also achieved success on various music charts. Woollim Entertainment announced that boy band Drippin is preparing for their first fan concert in Japan on September 29, featuring two live shows for "Weekend with Dreaming" and coinciding with the release of their new single, "Weekend." This comes after the success of their single "Beautiful Maze," which set a record for the band by selling over 130,000 copies in the first week.
