[Today’s K-pop] BTS’ Jimin logs 5th solo entry on Billboard’s Hot 100


Jimin of BTS has achieved his fifth entry on Billboard's Hot 100 chart with his single "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)." This marks his first solo entry on the chart, and the single debuted at No. 88. The release precedes his upcoming second EP "Muse," set to be released on July 19. Jimin's previous chart successes include "Like Crazy," the lead track from his first solo EP "Face," which debuted at the top of the chart, a historic achievement for a K-pop solo artist. Stray Kids, under JYP Entertainment, has announced their largest international tour to date, titled "dominATE." The tour will kick off with two concerts in Seoul on Aug. 25 and will include 20 live shows in 11 cities across Asia and Australia, with plans for North and Latin Americas as well as Europe to follow. The tour is in support of their upcoming EP "Ate," scheduled for release on July 19, and the group will also headline major music festivals in Milan and London before the album's release. Blackpink's Lisa has reached a career-high on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, securing the No. 70 spot with her solo single "Rockstar." This marks her third solo entry on the chart, following her previous solo songs "Lalisa" and "Money." Additionally, she has achieved her first Billboard Global excl. US No. 1 with "Rockstar," becoming the third member of Blackpink to have a solo No. 1 on the chart. TXT, also known as Tomorrow X Together, has achieved the top spot on Oricon's weekly single ranking with their Japanese single "Chikai." The single has maintained its position atop the daily single ranking and debuted at No. 1 on the weekly chart, selling close to 360,000 copies, setting a weekly sales record for a single released in Japan by an international artist this year. The group is currently promoting the new single album on Japanese television and is set to embark on a tour across Japan and Asia, including 28 concerts in 17 cities.
