[Today’s K-pop] Zion.T leaves label after 8 years: report

Zion.T has chosen not to renew his contract with The Black Label, as reported by local media. The label has confirmed this decision, and the singer will now be managed by Standard Friends, a company he established two years ago. This move follows his departure from Amoeba Culture and his signing with The Black Label in 2016. Zion.T's recent activities include the release of his third full-length album "Zip" in December last year, marking his first new music in two years. Additionally, he confirmed his relationship with Chaeyoung of Twice in April. BTS' Jimin has achieved a remarkable feat with his solo single "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)," which topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 108 regions. This release precedes his upcoming second solo EP "Muse," set to be fully unveiled on July 19. The pre-released track also achieved success on Oricon's digital single ranking and Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart. The accompanying music video, featuring rapper Loco, garnered 5 million views within about 20 hours of its release and secured the top spot on YouTube's Global Top Music Video chart. Jimin's upcoming EP follows his first solo album "Face," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the lead single "Like Crazy" topping the Hot 100 chart, a first for a K-pop solo singer.
