Documentary on BTS Jungkook's solo journey to open next month


A documentary film called "Jung Kook: I Am Still" is set to be released in theaters next month, chronicling the solo journey of BTS member Jungkook. This film, the 10th presented by Hybe, encompasses the eight-month period following Jungkook's solo debut in July 2023 and features behind-the-scenes footage, unreleased interviews, and insights into the preparation of his solo album. The movie will have an exclusive release in Korea at CGV theaters starting on September 18, and will also be available in theaters in over 120 countries and regions worldwide, with a release date in Japan set for October 4. Jungkook, the youngest member of the global sensation BTS, achieved significant success with his debut song "Seven" and his solo album "Golden," becoming the first Asian solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Global 200 Excluding US charts. The film will also reveal never-before-seen stories from a guerrilla performance in New York's Times Square and recording scenes of "Standing Next to You" in the US. Jungkook is currently serving his mandatory military service and is scheduled to be discharged on June 11 next year.
