[Herald Interview] Min says her ‘prime time’ is not over

K-pop solo artist Min used to be influenced by public opinion and criticism, often dwelling on past successes in response. However, she reached a turning point when she questioned why she would allow strangers to dictate her life. This realization inspired her latest song "Prime Time," the title track of her debut EP released on June 21. Through this song, she aims to convey the message that she alone determines her prime time and hopes to instill confidence in others through her music. Despite achieving significant success as a member of Miss A, Min asserts that her best days are in the present. She emphasizes that her prime time is now, as she has gained self-awareness and wisdom from her 14-year career in the entertainment industry. In her new EP, she shares her journey of self-discovery and empowerment, showcasing her determination to create the music she envisions. Additionally, Min took part in composing and writing the lyrics for three of the four tracks in her EP, demonstrating her commitment to her artistic expression. She also reveals plans for a music video for the second track, "Shimmy," and hints at a potential tour in the future. Min's recent move to New York and her casting offer for the Broadway musical "KPOP" have brought new excitement and opportunities to her career. She expresses enthusiasm for promoting her album in New York and hopes that this new EP will pave the way for her continued success, both in the US and in Seoul.
