Military Manpower to inspect BTS’ Suga military service onsite

The Military Manpower Administration is preparing to conduct an on-site inspection to verify whether BTS member Suga is fulfilling his military service obligations as a social service worker. This comes in the wake of an incident where Suga was apprehended by the police for operating an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol in Seoul. The inspection will focus on determining if Suga received any special treatment from the organization where he is serving and if any irregular activities took place. In response to public concern, a civic group lodged a complaint through the National Petition System, urging a thorough investigation into Suga's military service commitment and calling for strict measures. The Military Manpower Administration has extended its deadline for responding to this complaint, citing the need to complete the on-site inspection. Additionally, Suga is expected to be summoned for police questioning after his work hours, with no official statement anticipated from him or his agency regarding the investigation into his military service engagement.
