Samsung, LG to unveil new AI-powered home appliances at IFA 2024 in Berlin


South Korean tech giants Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics will unveil their latest artificial intelligence-powered home appliances at the IFA 2024 home electronics show in Berlin next month. Samsung's lineup includes the Bespoke AI Combo, an all-in-one washer-dryer, the Bespoke AI Family Hub premium refrigerator, and the Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner. Additionally, Samsung will showcase its AI-powered televisions, featuring the Generative Wallpaper feature that recommends background images based on users' preferences. On the other hand, LG will introduce a new AI-powered drum washing machine with a reduced width of 25 inches, designed specifically for European consumers. The washer employs the AI Direct Drive motor to analyze laundry weight, wetness, and fabric for optimal washing methods. LG will also present the newly launched LG Roboking AI All-in-One robot vacuum and the CordZero A9X All-in-One Tower Combo at the trade show, with senior officials such as Samsung's Han Jong-hee and LG Electronics CEO Cho Joo-wan set to attend.
