[Today’s K-pop] BTS’ Jimin to drop English-language version of solo song


BTS member Jimin is set to release an English version of the B-side track "Be Mine" from his second solo EP "Muse" on Friday, as announced by the label Big Hit Music. The EP, released on July 19, has seen significant success, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and topping iTunes Top Albums chart in 80 regions. Furthermore, the track "Who" claimed the No. 1 spot on the Top Songs chart in 119 regions, and the lead single remained at the top of Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart for seven days, accumulating 100 million streams in just nine days. Additionally, the group NewJeans achieved impressive milestones with their songs "OMG" and "Attention," garnering 700 million and 400 million streams on Spotify, respectively. "OMG" debuted at No. 91 on the Billboard's Hot 100 and reached 200 million views for its performance video on YouTube. Meanwhile, girl group Red Velvet commemorated their tenth anniversary and expressed gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support. They also announced plans to kick off a fan concert tour. Cube Entertainment revealed that girl group Lightsum is set to release a new digital single titled "Pose!" on August 7, marking their comeback after 10 months since their last EP, "Honey or Spice." The group has undergone a member reorganization and has been showcasing their growth and musical development through various releases, with leader Sangah participating in the writing of a B-side track from their previous EP.
