[Today’s K-pop] Ive drops pre-release from upcoming Japan EP


Ive has revealed the focus track "Crush" from their upcoming second EP in Japan, "Alive," which is set to be released on August 28. The music video for "Crush" features the band members enjoying the summer season together. The EP will consist of five tracks, including two new songs, one of which, "Will," was used as an opening theme song for the "Pokemon" animation series. Ive's first EP in Japan, "Wave," achieved top rankings on Oricon's daily and weekly album charts. The group is also scheduled to hold encore concerts at Tokyo Dome in September and participate in the Summer Sonic 2024 festival in Osaka and Tokyo. NewJeans has been recognized in the "Young Hollywood Impact Report" by US magazine Variety, being listed as one of the "next gen stars" who have made a significant impact in various entertainment fields. The group has achieved success in the music industry, with their song "Super Shy" earning them nominations at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. They are also the only K-pop girl group to make the list, which also includes boy band Ateez. BoA has announced her Asia tour schedule, with performances in Jakarta, Taipei, and Singapore following her successful concerts in Seoul. The veteran singer will be hosting her solo live show for the first time in over 1 1/2 years, celebrating the 24th anniversary of her debut. Additionally, AB6IX is set to release a special mini album titled "Find You," which will include solo songs from each member. The group has been active in their fan concert tour, visiting various cities around the world.
