President Yoon's commitment to overhauling the system comes after South Korea's successful performance in Paris, where the delegation won 13 gold medals, nine silvers, and 10 bronzes, surpassing their goal of winning five gold medals. Additionally, the event was attended by badminton women's single champion An Se-young, whose surprising revelation in Paris prompted a probe by the Sports Ministry into the alleged flaws in the management of athletes by the South Korean badminton association.
