Day6 to become 1st Korean band to perform at Gocheok Sky Dome

Korean band Day6 is set to make history as the first Korean band to hold a solo concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome, the largest dome venue in Seoul, with a capacity of approximately 25,000 people. JYP Entertainment has revealed plans for the band's concert, scheduled to take place near the end of the year, as part of their 10th debut anniversary celebrations. While specific details of the concert are yet to be announced, the agency has assured that they will be revealed in due course. Day6, a pop rock band, debuted in 2015 and is composed of guitarists Sungjin and Young K, keyboardist Wonpil, and drummer Do-woon. The group has achieved success with hit singles such as "Letting go," "You Were Beautiful," "Time of Our Life," and "Welcome to the Show." In December of last year, the band held their first full-group performance in four years, following a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and mandatory military service. Day6's latest single, "Melt Down," which was released on Monday, quickly climbed to the top of major local charts such as Melon's Top100 and Hot100 within three hours of its release. Additionally, the band is kicking off their third world tour, titled "Forever Young," this month with a three-day concert at the Inspire Arena in Incheon from Sept. 20-22.
