Dragon Pony drops debut album, portraying incomplete yet passionate youth

Indie music powerhouse Antenna introduced their new band Dragon Pony on Thursday with the release of their debut album "Pop Up," showcasing a strong ambition to revolutionize the Korean band scene. Comprising vocalist An Tae-gyu, guitarist Kwon Se-hyuk, bassist Pyun Sung-hyun, and drummer Ko Gang-hun, the quintet aims to convey their intense energy and honest emotions through their music, encapsulated by their slogan, 'The hot music of imperfect boys.' Each member of Dragon Pony is actively involved in the music production process, contributing to lyric writing, composing, and arranging. Despite all tracks falling under the rock genre, the band ensures that each song possesses a distinct and unique character. The title track "Pop Up" narrates the journey of imperfect boys who choose to carve their own path rather than conforming to societal norms, reflecting the band members' personal message of self-expression and individuality. Looking ahead, Dragon Pony envisions a future filled with growth and opportunities, aspiring to bring comfort to their audience while aiming to headline prestigious international festivals like Lollapalooza and Glastonbury.
