GS, LlamaIndex host seminar on AI innovation


Pierre-Loic Doulcet, the founding engineer of LlamaIndex, delivered a speech at the GS Tower in Yeoksam-dong, southern Seoul. GS Group, a prominent South Korean conglomerate in energy, retail, and construction, hosted the GenAI Connect Day workshop at its Yeoksam headquarters to discuss global AI trends. The workshop, held in collaboration with LlamaIndex, a San Francisco-based company known for its AI services in large language model applications, featured key figures like Pierre-Loic Doulcet and Heo Hoon from AI search engine start-up Liner as speakers. GS Group's initiative, 5pen 2nnovation GS, focuses on fostering an open innovation community where global AI engineers can share insights on utilizing large language models effectively. The workshop also introduced a no-code generative AI platform to assist non-programmers in creating their own programs. The event, showcased on the educational platform DeepLearning.AI founded by Dr. Andrew Ng from Stanford University, marked a significant milestone by becoming the first Korean program recognized as a Pie&AI event. Kang Byeong-jin, a machine learning engineer at GS, emphasized the importance of showcasing their AI expertise and building connections with the global AI community. He expressed the team's commitment to continuing efforts in creating similar opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of artificial intelligence.
