Jennie partners with Columbia Records for solo comeback in October

Jennie, a member of the K-pop group Blackpink, is preparing for a solo comeback with a new single set to be released in October. Her agency, OA Entertainment, announced that she has signed with Columbia Records, a prominent American label under Sony Music Entertainment. This move places her among the ranks of global pop icons like Beyonce, Adele, and Harry Styles who are also signed with Columbia Records. This upcoming release will be Jennie's first since her special single "You & Me" in October, and her collaboration track "One Of The Girls" with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, which achieved over 1 billion streams on Spotify and spent 20 consecutive weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Notably, she became the first female Korean solo artist to receive a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America with "One Of The Girls." In addition to her musical achievements, Jennie made history in April when the music video for her solo debut single, "Solo," surpassed 1 billion views, making her the first female K-pop solo artist to achieve this milestone. These accomplishments solidify Jennie's status as a trailblazing artist in the K-pop industry and beyond.
