Multiethnic Katseye begins Asia promo tour dreaming of inspiring girls everywhere

Katseye, a K-pop girl group formed by Hybe in collaboration with Geffen Records, has launched an expansive Asia promotion to expand its fan base. The six-member group is a blend of diverse nationalities and backgrounds, selected through the global audition program, "The Debut: Dream Academy," and made its US debut on June 28. As part of its promotional tour, Katseye held a press conference at Hybe's headquarters in Seoul, and will continue to travel to the Philippines and Japan over the next two weeks, aiming to connect with fans and appear on music shows. The group's members emphasized their global representation and unique cultural diversity, which allows them to appeal to a broad audience. They also highlighted the rigorous K-pop training they underwent, expressing that it instilled discipline and a strong work ethic. Additionally, they emphasized their commitment to being an inspiration for girls worldwide, particularly those who may not have seen representation of their own backgrounds in the entertainment industry. Manon, in particular, shared her personal experience of growing up in Switzerland as a mixed-race individual and the importance of being able to represent and inspire others like her through their music and success.
